Bare Walk at the Beach
Tender flowers
Soon-yellowed cactus
Fruited mountains framing the sky
In its endless sweep over the swelling mother ocean immense and infinite
Consciousness.
Your awareness of each crumb of sand
Sinking beneath a sure foot
Itself a mechanism of designed movement
Though tenderer then the searing sun and
Crushing waves and carving wind, a
Force on the earth nonetheless and
And welcomed, in its bareness, by this planet as sustainable
And by the universe as its consciousness, its humanness, its one
Being.
Living.
Breathing.
